About Us

Paul, Lynn and Jake (our son) Larkin will endevour to provide you with a warm & friendly welcome to our 15th Century coaching inn.

We are halfway through our second year here at The Red Lion after many years of running managed houses, from the north west (The Peacock, Nantwich; The Harvest Mouse, Heswall; The Black Dog, Waverton; The Hotel Victoria, New Brighton; The Hinderton Arms, Neston) to the north east (The Black Bull, Wardley; The New Tavern, Stokesley; The Five Alls, Stockton~on~Tees; The Waggon Team, Gateshead).

This time it's just for us! We still can not believe we live here & really are 'living the dream' in what is arguably the prettiest village in the Lake District.

Here at the Red Lion you will find comfortable & clean accommodation, traditional home cooked food, a wide range of wines & spirits and superbly kept cask ales from around the area.

Why not while away the hours in a cheerful, relaxed & informal atmosphere with friends old & new.

Be warned, a sense of humour is a must!
